Welcome to Framis!
Framilon® was born 40 years ago to promote the use of polyurethane
elastic tapes in the clothing industry. Since then, it has been used for holding up
your panties, making your bra straps invisible, keeping seams straight and much,
much more, and it is still a leading product in the top-of-the-range polyurethane tape
The elastic modulus (elongation and stretch recovery) of Framilon® is a distinctive characteristic:
it is the only tape that stretches when gentle stress is applied and it recovers slowly. Framilon®
used in sewing gives freedom of movement, elasticises seams without making them bulky and improves
and maintains the fit of garments over time.
“Framilon® used in stitching strengthens edges so that fabric does not break down or lose elasticity.
Elasticity and comfort combined with stylish appearance: Framilon ® can be used as decoration, as a base for embroideries and inserts and as seam binding. It is available in transparent, in black or piece-dyed.
Framilon® used in stitching guarantees that fabrics of different weights and/or stretch levels are perfectly joined together.
The insertion of Framilon® into stitching gives structure to a garment, making it pleasant to wear; it also keeps its shape over time.
Laboratory tests show that Framilon® has a high level of resistance to
tearing compared to competitors’ tapes. This
important characteristic not only makes the tapes suitable for
traditional uses but also as a base for elasticating decorative
braiding, for embroidery or bordering.

Tapes are applied with a sewing machine, using a standard or special guide depending on
the use. Variations to the final result can be obtained with a RAM module to modify the
Framilon® is extremely fine and thus seams can be elasticated without making them
Laboratory tests demonstrate that after 1000 extensions at 200%, the elastic performance
of Framilon® is unaffected and its deformation is minimal (10%) compared to tapes of
Framilon has high resistance to the industrial dyeing process. Piece-dyed garments can
be treated for 60 min at 90º and still retain their original dimensions
Laboratory testing under UNI EN IDO regulations show that Framilon® can be washed
domestically at 60º can be dry-cleaned and is resistant to chlorine, salt water and
perspiration (acid and alkaline)
Framilon range of tapes are Oeko Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified, including the
requirements of Annex 17 of Reach and American requirements of CPSIA.
