Framis Italia is proud to announce its participation in the GRECALE BIOPASS project, a research and development initiative funded by the FESR 2021-2027 Programme through the Collabora & Innova call by Regione Lombardia. The project aims to revolutionize the textile supply chain through the adoption of bio-based, eco-compatible, and biodegradable materials.

The GRECALE BIOPASS project represents a significant step toward sustainable innovation in the textile sector, with the goal of developing new high-performance materials capable of delivering advanced functionality without compromising the environment. This ambitious initiative involves several organizations from the Lombardy region, with a special focus on creating innovative, ecosystem-friendly solutions that can be concretely applied in the fashion and technical textile industries.

To achieve its ambitious objectives, GRECALE BIOPASS brings together diverse expertise, connecting the academic world, with the participation of the Universities of Milan and Bergamo, and the business world, involving major companies such as Radici Yarn and small and medium-sized enterprises including Cittadini S.p.A., Fellicolor S.p.A., F.T.R. Forniture Tessili Riunite S.R.L., and of course, Framis Italia S.P.A. The project is coordinated by G.P.S. Tech, a long-standing partner of Framis, with the support of Impresa Lab S.R.L.

As a beneficiary, Framis Italia actively contributes to the development and testing of these innovative materials, integrating its expertise in the research and production of high-quality textile components and accessories. Through this collaboration, Framis strengthens its commitment to sustainable practices and ecological transition, aligning with the best European standards for a greener future. In particular, Framis coordinates the first strategic objective of the project, dedicated to the development of bio-based thermoelastomers.
